Alyson called me and excitedly announced ‘we are having a baby!’ I was over Jupiter happy for her and Nick because I know they were trying for awhile and want a baby to love and hold so very much!

Then she dropped the other bomb on me, they eloped! They wanted to do a photoshoot to announce both milestones to their friends and family. I had photographed these two cuties before, so I was excited about the shoot!

I was able to find her a white dress from my model wardrobe, and brought some florals and a veil to help add that wedding feel to her photos.  Photographing these two was super fun! Nick is an entreprenuer and a certified arborist and owns a tree business in town. Alyson recently graduated the nursing program and is working at the local hospital. They are both lovely people, and very photogenic if I do so say so myself!

The fact that there was a full blown protest going on at the courthouse didn’t throw me at all (ok maybe a little at first). The fact is there are so many angles, arches, bouganvilla, tiled loveseats, and expansive views at the courthouse that we had plenty to work with even if the main arch was occupied. At the end of the day, it pushed me to find new nooks and crannies and I was so glad I did! This tiled seat was to die for, and I’d never made it up thise particular staircase before!

Congrtaulations Nick and Alyson on your marriage and your pregnancy! The love and joy you share is so moving, I am honored to have helped create photographs that will be forever memories of this special time. And I can’t wait to babysit <3
